Change is Good?

I’m in the middle of teaching a class based on the book, Spiritual Fitness. It’s a book written by Caroline Reynolds. This morning while reading it the question came up for me:

How accepting am I of change in my life?

Caroline Reynolds writes that we “must accept change as a vital part of our life”. She also says, “We don’t really want to change, we just want to feel better about our old way of doing things.” Reading this made me sit back and think.

I don’t believe that change is necessary from the perspective of our highest spiritual Truth. We are whole – perfect – complete. But how often am I living from Truth or even just my own inner experience of truth?

Thinking about this made me sit with the need to get honest with myself. Self-examination is necessary, particularly in those areas that are causing me pain. Because these are the areas that calling me to ‘change’. This doesn’t mean me digging through the muck, but I’m being called to release those thoughts, attitudes and beliefs that are not in alignment with my truth. I am being calling to congruence and integrity. I am being called to live my life from the inside out.

What areas am I experience this calling to change?

What changes am I to make in my living? Releasing the need for conformity but acting from Self expressing and walking in Truth.
