Last Friday was my birthday. I turned 41. It seems like it was just the other day I was talking about how I would no longer be in my “20′s”. Here I am, now in my 40′s.
I was thinking quite a bit about this over the weekend - about how time has seemed to fly. I’m not begrudging getting older because I have a great life and it is always getting better. My thoughts about the years going by so fast have nothing to do with “getting old” but instead “Are the years going by in a blur or in focus?”
One of my current “Top 10″ songs is called “Blink” (I put a link below so you could hear it). Its lyrics expresses some of what I was thinking about.
The song starts out:

One of my birthday wishes/intentions for this new year is that I “show up” to savor the moments that are showing up for me. I have been so blessed and continue to be blessed on a daily basis – I want to milk the next 41 years for all their worth.
